Isadom “Sai” Parra

Community Lending Loan Officer

Growing up alongside the Dominican Association of Lancaster has taught him that throughout it all, never forget your heritage or where you come from. Mamota’s Grocery circa 1997 is where it all started for Sai. Working at his aunt’s bodega taught him the value of the dollar, and how far it can go if it stays within your community.

Graduating from Penn State taught him the importance of properly managing the dollar. Revitalizing the Dominican Association of Lancaster is one of Sai’s passion projects. This association is dear to his heart and was responsible for connecting the Dominicans that migrated here from the Dominican Republic in the ‘90s. He hopes to continue that into the 21st century.

Before coming to ASSETS, Sai was managing the Accounting Department for a multi-million dollar trucking company. There he learned the true meaning of the golden rule—that everyone learns at their own pace and empathy goes a long way.Taking on the role of Special Projects Manager allowed him to dive into every facet of the trucking business, from phone system acquisition to fixed asset reporting. While managing those books, Sai prepared free tax returns with United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, known as VITA. Every year, the VITA team helps over 10,000 low-income families save over $3M in filing fees.

Now, as the Community Lending Loan Officer for ASSETS, Sai hopes to support the small business community by engaging with and identifying their needs. If you see him downtown on his motorcycle or cruising through on the longboard, stop him and say hi!
