Karen is passionate about the social, economic, and environmental impact the organizations she works for have in this community. She has come to learn that corporations are organizations that are recognized and authorized by law to act as a single person, yet what many corporations lack is a heart—a heart that is intentional about doing work that matters and aligns people, planet and profits in a holistic way.
Karen brings over 8 years of Finance and Accounting experience from working in the public and non-profit sectors. She is intentional about supporting the organization’s financial goals to build a healthy and equitable community. In her role at ASSETS, Karen enjoys delivering fiscally-responsible strategies to resolve financial and accounting challenges.
Karen’s involvement with ASSETS started in 2010 when she took the “Business Design and Management Course”. In 2011 she began working part-time at ASSETS and continued working throughout her college years.
Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Millersville University.
Karen loves being connected with nature, whether it be biking, exploring a new trail, or simply being outdoors.
