Fuel Kidz: Feeding the Future with Real, Fresh Food

The 2025 Great Social Enterprise Pitch is powered by partners like Bank of Bird-in-Hand

For Blanca Cintronvidal, food has always been about more than nutrition. Growing up, she often had to take care of her siblings when her mother couldn’t, cooking and selling food to help support the family. Those early experiences planted the seed for her belief that fresh, real food can change lives, especially for children.

While working at a large daycare, Blanca saw firsthand how children were being underserved at mealtime. Processed nuggets, canned cheese, and barely a fresh ingredient in sight. She knew kids deserved better.

Fuel Kidz was created to change that. The venture delivers healthy, scratch-made meals that nourish growing bodies, boost focus, and give kids the energy they need to thrive.

Now, as a 2025 Great Social Enterprise Pitch finalist, Blanca is sharing her vision for healthier childhoods and challenging the status quo in early education nutrition.

What She’s Building
Fuel Kidz is working to set a new standard in children’s nutrition, starting in daycares and eventually reaching homes. Blanca’s vision includes creating jobs, empowering parents, and inspiring childcare providers to demand better food for the kids in their care.

ASSETS’ Role
Through ASSETS, Blanca has gained knowledge, confidence, and the tools to grow her impact. The program helped her refine her vision and build a stronger foundation for making systemic change in how children eat.

Looking Ahead
Blanca envisions Fuel Kidz becoming the gold standard for kids’ meals across the country, challenging outdated food systems and advocating for policies that put children’s health first.
