Makers to Market: Build the Business Behind What You Make

You know how to make your product. Now, build the business behind it. Makers to Market is a new three-day accelerator from the Women’s Business Center at ASSETS designed specifically for entrepreneurs who make physical products.

Whether you make packaged foods, apparel, candles, personal care products, home goods or other consumer products, Makers to Market will help you work through the practical pieces of building a stronger product-based business.

From understanding your costs and pricing to improving production and finding new ways to sell, you’ll spend three days focused on the business behind what you make.

Choose the Cohort That Works for You

Day 2: Build Your Operation

Strengthen your production, inventory, packaging, quality control and day-to-day systems.

Day 3: Get to Market

Explore retail, wholesale, markets, branding and marketing, and build a 90-day action plan.

Is Makers to Market for You?

Makers to Market is designed for entrepreneurs who make physical products for sale, including:

  • • Packaged foods and beverages
  • • Apparel, textiles and accessories
  • • Candles, soaps and personal care products
  • • Ceramics, home goods and furniture
  • • Other artisan and consumer goods produced in repeatable batches

You don’t need a factory or a large production operation to participate. Businesses working from commercial kitchens, studios, workshops, maker spaces or home-based businesses may qualify.

If you know how to make your product but want to strengthen the business behind it, Makers to Market was built with you in mind.
