Jessie Tuno
Women’s Business Center Manager
Jessie is a business owner, mom, and wife. Born in Lancaster, her family spent the next 20
years in the Air Force, moving every few years, so she considers herself from a little bit of
everywhere. After getting married, Jessie and her husband Tom moved back to Lancaster and
have raised their 3 children here in Lancaster.
Jessie has spent most of her adult career in the restaurant industry, working in all facets from
fine dining to fast food, caterer to personal chef. Most recently, she was a Culinary and Pastry
Arts instructor, then Program Director at the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts, before she
stepped into her own journey as an Entrepreneur. She opened Butter and Bean, a small coffee
shop in the City of Lancaster in 2021, then opened the second location, a larger cafe in the
Tanger Outlets in 2023, where it continues as a thriving community hub.
Jessie has always had a passion for developing people throughout her career. That is why she
is thrilled to be joining the ASSETS team as the Women’s Business Center Manager. She
combines her passion for training and mentorship with a commitment to equity and justice.
In her free time, Jessie and her husband are involved with their church, Journey Church, and
love to travel and cruise. They also enjoy supporting small businesses and always look for the
best local coffee shops and mom and pop restaurants wherever they go.
