From the Pitch to the World Cup: SubZero Suit Moves Closer to Launch

As we count down to this year’s Great Social Enterprise Pitch, we’re checking in with entrepreneurs who previously participated in ASSETS’ Idea Incubator to see where their journeys have taken them.
Last year, Denzel Kabasele stepped onto the Great Social Enterprise Pitch stage with a vision for SubZero Suit, a sports recovery product with a larger mission to support refugees and immigrants. A year later, SubZero is getting closer to market.
Denzel recently had the opportunity to share a SubZero prototype with a player from the Democratic Republic of Congo competing in the World Cup. The player went on to score during the tournament, marking an exciting milestone for SubZero as the product continues to be tested and refined.
Getting Ready for Production
SubZero Suit has also secured a $30,000 investment to fund its first production run of 500 SubZero pants. Denzel is currently testing the product with athletes and gathering feedback before making final improvements to the prototype. If everything stays on schedule, he expects to have the full inventory ready before the end of the year.
The first production run will mark a major step for SubZero as Denzel moves from testing the product to bringing it to market.
As SubZero grows, its larger mission remains part of the plan. Denzel intends to donate 5% of profits to Brighter Tomorrow Lancaster, provide free recovery tools to refugee athletes and create employment opportunities for refugees and immigrants.
Building on the Pitch
Denzel was one of five finalists in ASSETS’ 2025 Great Social Enterprise Pitch. Through the program, he strengthened his business vision and built confidence sharing it with potential partners, investors and the community.
Now, with new investment, athlete feedback and his first production run on the horizon, SubZero Suit is taking another step toward bringing that vision to market.
