Nourish was founded on a simple but powerful idea—education. Five years ago, resources for textured and curly hair care were limited, especially in traditional salon settings. Seeing this gap, Markiana decided to step in and provide a space where clients could not only receive expert styling but also gain a deep understanding of their hair and how to care for it properly.
Bridging the Gap Between Information and Expertise
With the rise of online curl care education, many people are being exposed to a wealth of information. But with so much content out there, it can be overwhelming to determine what actually works for different hair types. That’s where Nourish steps in.
As a Curl Expert, Markiana helps clients filter through the noise and focus on the fundamentals of curly hair care and styling. Seeking therapy and spiritual guidance has also played a key role in navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, proving that success isn’t just about strategy—it’s about resilience and self-care.

Looking ahead, the goal for Nourish extends beyond the salon. Markiana envisions traveling, exploring the world, and eventually creating a home-based salon space for long-time clients.
