And we’re celebrating all year long (May 2018 - May 2019)
Our birthday wish is for a changed Lancaster.
Like the businesses we help, we’ve grown exponentially over the last 25 years. We’re so much more than the 12-week business start-up course we began as in 1993. Today, ASSETS is a non-profit that works with starts-ups and existing businesses to form a more ethical economy. We offer in-depth training and creative financing for entrepreneurs, and work with established businesses to improve their social and environmental impact. We’re a team of innovators, changing the ecosystem of business and building an economy where everyone can prosper.
Join the conversation. Let’s use business as a force for good.

This not only allows you to make a consistent difference all year long, it also helps us develop a stable base of funding we can rely on from month to month.

After months of professional development and idea incubation, only five finalists are chosen to move onto the Live Pitch. The Final Five pitch their business ideas to a live audience and a panel of judges.

March is National B Corp Month. To celebrate, we’re highlighting each of Lancaster’s 17 certified B Corps. The trend of “B Corporations,” businesses that balance purpose and profit, is rapidly growing across the nation — and Lancaster is leading the way for Pennsylvania. While Lancaster is much smaller than cities such as Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, it is home to 17 businesses that are certified as “B Corp.” That’s more than 25 percent of all B Corp businesses across the state. Why are so many Lancaster businesses deciding to be a “force for good?”
Since it's B Corp Month, we're continuing the party with Fig Magazine's spring issue, launching March 14th. We've partnered up with Fig to talk about using business as a force for good in our community, and to highlight the businesses who are doing it best. Be the first to see the issue (and ASSETS' special section) at the Launch Party at The Imperial Blue Ballroom.

Our breakfast series is back by popular demand! ASSETS believes that business can be about more than just making lots of money. We believe that business, done right, can be a positive force for good in the community. The Impact Business breakfast series creates a platform to discuss effective opportunities and ideas with the wider business community.
At ASSETS, we believe in transforming our community through business. We believe that entrepreneurs, social enterprises, and established businesses that measure what matters will change our economy for the better through their social and environmental impact. We believe that women, people of color, refugees, and immigrants infuse our community with ingenuity, hope, and the courage it takes to work hard and overcome barriers. We believe it's our job to provide resources, training, and opportunities to help create an equitable economy that works for everyone, reduce poverty, and create a changed Lancaster.
